Jiangxi Applied Engineering Vocational Institute, located in Gaokeng Town, Anyuan District, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, is a state-owned public full-time general vocational college approved by the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The college’s predecessor can be traced back to the Anyuan Road mining workers’ Remedial School founded in 1922, after several changes, including Jiangxi Communist Labor University Pingxiang Branch, workers’ Technical School, July 21 Workers’ University and Pingxiang Coal Mine Workers’ University, and finally officially changed its name to Jiangxi Applied Engineering Vocational Institute in 2003. Affiliated to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangxi Province, the College is a science and engineering university with profound historical heritage and rich educational resources.
